Control??

I honestly do not believe that many Americans could actually recite the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution despite the fact that it has been a focal part of hundreds of news stories over the past few years.  So let me share:

AMENDMENT II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Our founders were wise men and realized that if you truly want to keep a government from becoming tyrannical then you best make sure that the people could always defend themselves from the government.  The meaning behind the 2nd Amendment has pitted quite a few people against the defenders of the Constitution.  Let me be clear in not only what I believe but what is the truth.  Anyone who has studied and respected history should be able to conclude that our forefathers meant for individuals to own and keep arms.  Our government over the years have started to control this right through a number of methods, registration requirements, carry restrictions, and now we are discussing what kind of guns can someone legally own.  Worse yet the so called media loves to dramatize every situation to fit neatly into the liberal agenda.  There has been a number of people who point to the disarming or incredibly strict gun laws in Australia as a model that the U.S. should attempt to intimidate.  That notion is ludicrous to me.  Our society is nothing like theirs.  As I sit here and flip through the news stories I find no end to the number of violent crimes that have nothing to do with guns nor are there guns anywhere in the perpetrators reach.    

What I have in my home is my right.  The guns I own, I own with pride.  I have the right, given to me by my fore father's to bear arms. I have the right to defend myself and my family against ANYONE who threatens our safety (and yes that includes the government.)  I am at least blessed enough to live in a conservative small town in the midwest where our local government officials still pray before their meetings.  Though I have to worry how long this will be continue as the hard core destroyers of this country, the liberalist idiots who confuse religious freedom with freedom from religion.  Seriously?  Our we so stupid to believe that if we as a people turn our backs on God that we will not fall?  Our fore fathers were strong believers and our very Constitution was written by believers.  

Pay attention to the truth.  Do not let your rights be stripped away under false pretensions. Read the Bill of Rights, read the Constitution, and above also read your Bible .. learn the truth for yourself do not rely on the media to spoon feed you what it wants you to know.
